I wish there was some way I could help out with handing out merits in local sections, but I don't speak any of the languages. If I were to be willing to trust a trusted member reporting an unmerited post that was worthy of merit (in their opinion) and merit it myself, do any of you think that would present a major issue? The only reason I want to do this is because I know some boards don't have their own merit sources (or simply enough merits to go around). If I could inject a bunch of merits into a local board, hopefully they'd continue to circulate among the members there.
Good idea, bad idea?
When there is a merit source who want to contribute in other local board especially to increase the number of merit distribution then I think the idea should be welcomed by the community and probably shouldn't be considered as a bad idea. But language may be a barrier for people like you who don't usually speak the local language. Especially for local Indonesian board, I really hope you have the opportunity to review them and inject some merit into quality post there. Maybe some people will be willing to help with this. Tell me what I can help you with.
As I know, local board Indonesian actually have several active merit source to distribute merit. @ETFbitcoin and @Husna QA are two source I know of there even though we used to have dbshck and i know several others such as fillippon, DdmrDdmr, COOLCRYPTOVATOR, JayJuanGee, nutildah, and several other source are also involved in merit distribution there. But if you're willing to inject some, then I'd welcome it and thanks for that. I never tire of encouraging local users there to get involved in the merit system and use merit on quality post. But the number of bounty hunters who don't care, might be the reason why the sender and recipient of merit are still at that limit.
This thread is the reason why I care so much about those who don't get the source attention they deserve for their quality post. Since the merit source is also human, they may be able to skip it at any time when they are inactive for a certain period of time in the thread. So this thread is quite helpful merit source to get their quality post.
