No, they did not require KYC before. However, since April of this year, many users have begun noticing the pop-up asking for identity verification (KYC Level 1). The discussion began on
page 116 of this thread. I’m not sure if there was any official announcement about it.
Just comply with the KYC, Robeet has proven they are a legit casino and it's probably part of the basic regulatory requirements so that's the only way one can gamble, otherwise leave and choose other casinos that do not require a KYC so you'll be comfortable. I think, Roobet has still reatain their gamblers as they are still operating profitably, so I believe if a site is reputable, gamblers will not hesitate to comply with the KYC requirement.
