No, they did not require KYC before. However, since April of this year, many users have begun noticing the pop-up asking for identity verification (KYC Level 1). The discussion began on page 116 of this thread. I’m not sure if there was any official announcement about it.

I see, but did they require their users that has lots of balance on their wallet? As far as I remember, there are some casinos that only requires users that reached/had an specific balance on their casino wallet. Other users that didn't meet the balance, aren't required to undergo in their KYC. I wonder if Roobet also is doing the same thing as what those other casinos are doing in terms of KYC implementation.

When a online casino are still in it's early stages, they fly under the radar ..because they do not have a lot of users. They also use the "No KYC Requirement" as a marketing strategy. The problem is, once they grow bigger.. they cannot fly under the radar anymore, so they gradually encourage users to "verify" their accounts... to become a legitimate casino. (They still have a license, but the regulators are more strict with the bigger operators)

Some of the other casinos offer extra bonuses and rewards for people who are verified, but they still allow for people to stay anonymous. (Legitimate High rollers that wants to stay private to protect their families and friends, because people with a lot of money are juicy targets for criminals)  Wink
