Thats why we should not grab any giveaway like this. Those greed people never stop tricking other specially they are targeting those new in crypto. Some would lure you at the beginning but once you bite on their bat that will produce scammmmm.
The main target is the newbie. by taking advantage of their lack of knowledge and experience, the scammers make a profit. Usually the most common mode is to ask to transfer a certain number of coins with a certain nominal so that the airdrop can be claimed or withdrawn. luckily I didn't have enough money to claim, so I was able to avoid such scams. after that i started to learn a lot of things, nothing is really free, it has to be some effort or luck.
^ I remember before when I was actively looking for the project ICO that has an airdrop and yes, they are very profitable and I believe that there is money on the internet. But now, that is all are gone, you can't earn even a single penny in airdrop and most of them are just only pure scams or getting your KYC documents. Scammers are everywhere we should keep our eye on our BTC holding, when there is something free that offer online, just look at it and verify what it is.
Those are only the days where that 2017 golden year of ICO's on where airdrops does have significant value for most of them but now only 1% i could say that do really ending up on getting some value.

It would vary on the potential of the project and we know that most of them are just trash or pure garbage or scam. When you do gain sufficient knowledge and experience to this market then

you do at least be already aware on how things been working. You should be careful and be sensitive enough on dealings that do happen in the net because scams are just on the corner.
