As long the old ones not disrupt what the younger do. I think in government, there are something that really strict or maybe sometimes there are something that hard to change because old ones who still have control in it. But maybe if bitcoin can be adopted, my hope it not replace fiat because there will be strong power who can do anything with it. And maybe can cause bad thing for bitcoin itself, as long bitcoin can be used to payment overseas and can be saved as an assets, demands will still come and people will still buying it.
Although bitcoin has many advantages, it will not be easy to replace fiat. without having to replace fiat, bitcoin can still exist as an alternative means of payment, that's more than enough. after all bitcoin is also very effective for investment and trading. Widespread adoption of payment instruments is only one way for bitcoin to become widely accepted.
