Decentralisation is what makes bitcoin unique and trusted. It does not rely on anyone. It has its own protocol which no one can control nor change anything in the system. Satoshi's anonymity helps strengthened the currency by growing it organically without any leader. What if he reveals himself, any tweets by him will make the market move. Manipulation could possibly be more active.
