Too bad Real Madrid also had to settle for a draw, they looked like the real deal in early minutes of the game and had numerous attempts in the first, but things changed drastically after the beginning of the 2nd half, I guess it was just one of those days things doesn't go as plan, I however still believe that Real Madrid have a more competitive team overall this season, they all just need to stay fit to make the quest for silverware easier.
Real Madrid and Barcelona can have same player quality and they will fight for the second position on the table. They can create challenge to Atletico Madrid but they will not win the trophy. I hope they will play as best as possible and keep the title competition as most exciting as possible.
Atletico will probably win the La LIga again.
The current squad is worse than the previous season. What did they get on the transfer window? They sold 2 main centre backs, including their captain Ramos. And they just bought David Alaba which is basically not in the position of centre back. We can see the impacts now, Real Madrid defence line is rather weak. Even Levante can score 3 times and almost defeat Real Madrid yesterday.
Alaba is a good player but he only joined Real Madrid in the summer and he needs more time there. If compare Alaba with Ramos, Ramos brings more danger to opponent goal. Ramos is one of the most goal productive defenders in history and Real Madrid won't be able to find a new player like this soon.
Alaba is more like a replacement for Varane who transfered to Manchester United.
