Football is a really fun sport. It's as fun to watch as it is to do. Which of the world leagues do you think is the most enjoyable? Who is the most enjoyable player to watch? If we compare today's football with the football of the 1990s, which one do you think is more exciting?
I did love to watch football back in the 90's; now I watch it rarely. Maybe I've got older too, but now there are too many expensive stars, now there are too many strategic fouls and faking too.
I feel like the football was somewhat closer to "normal", closer to people than now. Now it's more like... Hollywood...
Don't take me wrong, VAR and so on are great improvements, it's nice to be able to see something from various angles and analyze. And maybe VAR will even make football cleaner and more fun to watch.
