Hi, It was almost worse than a bad circus.
The race was classified as completed by the governing body of the sport whether we agree with it or not.. All sportsbooks payout on the governing bodies ruling of their own sports.. be it F1, FIFA, ICC, ATP, WTA, whatever.
It is seemingly a 1 in a 1000 race scenario and no one wins in this situation, but keeping in line with all the other sports, we had to settle accordingly. All other Sportsbooks had no choice but to do the same.
However, If anyone did bet on this event, pls send me your bet ID via PM, and I'll pick a couple to refund as a gesture of goodwill.
(FYI, I had $0.40 on George Russell to take pole position in Belgium at 1,400/1

Sportsbet and Steve are maintaining their generous attitude to forum members nearly everywhere. A bet website that I placed a bet on Hamilton considered my betslip as lost and I couldn't have my money back. When I saw this post, I got angry at myself about why I didn't place the same bet on Sportsbet. From now on, I will make my bets on Sportsbet.
