Good news for Clint Capela.
https://twitter.com/wojespn/status/1433094202745839616?s=20Atlanta Hawks center Clint Capela has agreed on a two-year, $46M extension, sources tell ESPN. He had two years left on his current deal and now is under contract through 2024-2025.
Atlanta Hawks loved him for taking a big leap to Eastern Conference Finals and they are showing the love by extending his contract. This is cool.
Now he has an $82m four-year contract.
I want to thank Atlanta Hawks for that big move. They just gave what Clint Capela deserves. With that contract, I'm expecting Capela will be more dedicated to the team as a form of respect. Atlanta Hawks sees his worth and appreciate what he did especially their playoffs run that no one expects them to be in the Eastern Conference Finals.
That's a good experience for all Hawks players as next time they will be again in the playoffs, they now have experience how to handle the pressure. Suddenly, they now become one of the competitive teams in the East unlike before that they are not included in the discussion.
