Yes and no.
Investments in precious metals are less risky than in crypto, but the precious metals' price can also decrease (much slower, but still...)
The history shows that investments in precious metals also give smaller returns than what Bitcoin gives. But I can't tell how long this will last. Bitcoin price is still expected to at least double in the near future, which precious metals can't give (of course, expectations and reality may or may not be matching).

Bitcoin price fluctuates hugely. If you cannot handle that well, precious metals may be better.
Bitcoin had periods when its price goes down for months after months; in such times precious metals would have been better.
But if invested at the right times or done DCA, then also waited patiently, most had a good chance for high returns.

As said, there are pluses and minuses in both cases and this is a Bitcoin forum.
