The key here is to control your finance so you can gamble (or doing other hobbies) while keep building your wealth. Play only with your excess money, and it (hobbies) shouldn't be your priority.
This is main point of concern that if you are gambling under control then it's not the worse part but an entertaining way to gain profits with loss.You simply think that you are burning some funds for your pleasure like paying for services but in gambling you also have a hope of winning with no limits and you could end up gaining more what you have.But play in limits is best option.
