I do not hide the fact that I am a gambler.... why hide something you enjoy? I do not enjoy losing money, but it is still a rush... winning some money. I gamble in front of my whole family and some of them are getting the benefits when I win something big. (not often, but it does happen)
The thing is.... gambling should be a fun entertaining activity and not an addiction. Once it gets under your skin and you cannot go without it, then you should stop doing it. (The same goes for eating and alcohol and a lot of other things in life.... even running and Sport.)

Because people generally tend to see you differently?
Not to mention the wealth of leeches that you will attract as a result of your public flaunting. If you win, people will likely despise you out of jealousy and if you don't, people will think that you're an absolute fool.
Gambling is something that I just keep to myself - plain and simple.
