I can't tell this is fake, but some details are ambiguise and weird to be made by the most powerful government in the world. It has no sense that you provide passports with different colors to prove credibility as this would proves nothing, exactly like you want to confirm identity via a video call.
By searching about Dr. Wolfgang Kainz in google, i have found two profiles; One is a professor at the Department of Geography and Regional Research of the University of Vienna [
