Cardano is already ranking #3 on coinmarketcap and has shown massive price ncrease during the past months. Its smart contract is scheduled to be launched on 12th September, 2021 which is not very far from now. having said it, I don't think cardano will become rival of Ethereum or Bitcoin who have established their leading position in the market which is also reflected by their market cap. Cardano team team has yet to do a lot work to further develop their network to become nclosed rival of Ethereum.
