If I wouldn't have a choice but to sell my Bitcoin then I would do it. I can't starve my family so I could keep holding. There are still opportunities for me to earn and buy Bitcoin again but if the situation would ask me to sell it, I will never have a second thought of doing it if its really needed. Holding Bitcoin is really important as an asset and investment but we can't disregard the fact that we still need money to sustain our needs.
Having food is the priority, we do invest to have food in our table as well to provide our needs. It's okay to cashout some BTC or trade it with other coins that are profitable. I sometimes do shift in other coins them just try to do some day trading and get some profit whenever I need to pay some of my bills. Cashing out doesnt mean we will get all we hold, we can get some and wait for the orhers to earn so we don't totally lose.
You can do that when you gained better knowledge about this investment,
Not because you are using portions of your bitcoin means that you are letting everything go. You can use Bitcoin as a tool for trading. You can grow it and take a portion of your profits each time you need some money for your personal needs. Not bad to use your asset if it's really needed instead of starving. It's useless anyway if you died from any bad effects of starving.
