Unfortunately it's incorrect: you can't send on-chain Bitcoin for $0.01, $0.05 is the minimum on-chain.
Is Western Union seriously advertising to send only $50 (or less) for a whopping $5 fee? That's quite a lot, who's so desperate for a few bucks they're willing to pay 10% or more on a small amount?

Many people that work in the US from Latin America send a portion of their paycheck home every week to support their family there.
And yes they are that desperate because if they don't then their children literally starve.
Western Union has always gouged these people as they are the unbanked.
If all goes well, we all are "the unbanked", hopefully rather soon.
I wish i could ask my grandchildren in the future: "did your parents ever tell you about these 'banks' we got rid of in the 30s?"
