On my old laptop I had my doge wallet installed. When I open the wallet i cannot locate the key file anywhere.
So the wallet cannot open any file. Every file produces an error, I must have accidentally deleted the wallet file.
I have my private key and password saved but cannot use it due to the wallet file missing.
I was using the dogecoin core wallet for Windows.
Is there a way I can get to my dogecoins?
That depends on what you mean, as long as you still have your private keys you can still retrieve your wallet. Maybe you should try entering your private keys into another wallet to see if you can retrieve your coins or you can try reinstalling the wallet And after installing it you can enter your 12 word recovering Phrase. The most important thing when making use of a cryptocurrency wallet is to back up your wallet using that 12 word recovery phrase. as long as your wallet is backed up using the 12 word recovery phrase, then you are safe. So I don’t think this is much of a problem.
