Papua New Guinea scored only 62 runs in 19.2 overs. They have already lost 4 wickets. Although I did not think they could win by batting for 272 runs. Even then, if Papua New Guinea can score 200 runs, I think it will be a good collection for them. But now looking at their batting I think they will lose all their wickets in 130-140.

International cricket is moving heavily towards richer boards such as USA and UAE, who can import mercenary players from countries such as India, Pakistan and South Africa. Even here in this match, PNG was fielding a 100% native side. USA didn't had any citizens in their playing XI. But you can clearly see that PNG is not being able to compete against the United States. And this is repeated across all the regions. Even in Europe, teams with 100% expat sides are thrashing those with native players. Same in Asia as well.

I would say this is a good sign for a lot of talented young cricketers from SENA countries who are struggling to get into their A team or even in the T20 franchise. They are getting a good opportunity to show their talent and also earn a decent amount of money. Their performance will also encourage a lot of local young talent to become a cricketer.
