One of the Journalist Aaron van Wirdum broke the news Tuesday after he visited a McDonald’s restaurant in El Salvador, where he was presented with a printed QR code directing him to an invoice page on Lightning Network.
I think this is the Great Initiative Taken by the McDonald’s in El SalvadorHave Bitcoin is legal tender in El Salvador, so companies that are in the country also expected to be accepting Bitcoin as a payment method so it should come as a surprise to us. When I saw the topic that you wrote I was thinking that it was going to be maybe a place such as US, But it is still not bad that it is happening in El Salvador.
Let’s say that the McDonald’s in El Salvador will be like a testing ground for the company, maybe they will use this to know how it is really going to work out for them if they should start accepting it in other countries. Since Bitcoin is legal tender in El Salvador, any of those companies that you know that has office in El Salvador will sure be accepting Bitcoin as a payment.
