Well, that would be very unfortunate if you were right, but I'm afraid that was exactly the case. The guy was last active yesterday here, but he didn't respond to any questions in this thread.
I didn't give him any money or merit, and yet I feel scammed in a way.

Another interesting thing is his merit history and the only account (so far) he sent merit to, newbie
excro. Check his post history and you will find some similarities like @excro claiming to own small electronics shop, while wnet owns hardware store, both applying to same merit giveaway threads almost one after the other etc.
