No matter the year, no matter the season, long term holding is very good so far the person in question have understood what long term holding goes with and that not all coin or tokens are good for long term holding.
In my own simple way,  long term holding involves those coins with great utility and not those piloting around with hype, but those whose working products is capable of making them increase in value as time goes on.
Therefore in a bid to reply in regards to the title, I would start ETH, the reason is, the more it grows, the more projects finds it attractive and better for building on. BNB is another which is backed by a great exchange and team. ADA, ALGO, FTM and MATIC also made my list.
