I looked at prices but aren't RX 6800/XT/6900XT better in the end?

The A4000 are going for the same price as those but the AMD cards does 60-66mH/s at similar wattage.

The A4000 seems priced the same as 6900XT but if you can find 6800/6800XT you can go cheaper.

Even considering that it takes almost 1.5-2 years to get ROI nominal. Excluding electricity and taxes on gains making it even longer.

Unless you are getting your A4000 at considerable discounts? Not retail pricing.

Right now as I said previously and as per this thread title, all gpus are already lhr, hardly can find a non lhr and that is like 1 in thousands, meaning only amd gpus and rtx 3090 are still unlocked, amd gpus are hard to find and they cost an arm and a leg, a simple search showed me that rtx a4000 are widely available for as much as 1200 usd, and I cant find an amd 6800 for that price, plus it seems those a4000 use little less power than the 6800 but then again the hashrate is a little lower too, the a4000 has 448 GB/sec default 56mhs on eth, the 6800 has 512 GB/sec default  64 mhs on eth.

What is interesting and I have seeing is that, the gpu market is not about gaming anymore, has been about eth hashrate, meaning even a rx 580 has been selling for 800 usd and compared to even a 3060 in gaming loses hard but a 3060 lhr is not much more expensive than a rx 580. I guess when the crypto market crashes hard we will go back to gaming performance dictates the price.
