I didn't think that Tottenham would be able to lose quite heavily in that match, even though if we look at the composition of the two teams, it was quite balanced, but in that match Chelsea appeared very dominant with 53 percent ball possession and made 20 attempts, 10 of which led to the goal, in my opinion, in that match tottenham who acted as the host actually could not take advantage of the game situation well so they were only able to shoot 8 times and 2 of them were on target and clear compared to the previous tottenham matches, the statistics in that match are the worst in my opinion.
Losing 2 times in a row in the last 5 match is an unpleasant thing for Tottenham. They started a perfect season with 3 wins in a row but unfortunately their 4th & 5th match had to lose. That's the great thing about the Premier League, there's no chance for a top team to relax even if the opponent looks weak. Just look at Brighton, they are not a top team but managed to rank 4th in the standings one level above Manchester City. But it's true, they are not the favorite team to win the title this season.
I agree with your opinion, the English league does have a fairly competitive competition every season and from season to season we can see a small team that is able to make a surprise like what Brighton is doing now, I think if Brighton continues to be consistent in every match , of course their is certainly not impossible if they deserve to be challengers for the title of this season as was ever done by Leicester City in the past.
Tottenham are sometimes always inconsistent with previous wins but now that they have suffered successive defeats of course this will be bad because Tottenham will be left behind in terms of points, even in the premier league there is no relaxed word where all clubs must try to keep getting points from every game, if you lose then it will be left behind I see the competition will be tight and the points will not be too far from the other team because they will keep trying.
But that's the main league even weak teams like Brighton can survive in the top 4 until now it means they are strong.
Totteham inconsistency in matches, I think it has become their disease every season, and we can see a few seasons ago how tough tottenham was at the beginning of the season but slowly their performance continued to decline when facing big teams or teams whose level was below them, I think this is one of the strong reasons for harry kane so far to be able to immediately leave totteham and move to another club that has a winning mentality.
