Bitcoin went all the way from a few hundred dollars to $65k recently, and yet the future of the forum software isn't yet known?

I don't know why I have this bad feeling, but we might never see the project come to fruition?
Why is it dragging for so long like this?

Funds? Lack of devs to hire for the project?
