I would not be surprised. I'm sure that many of those who preach that Bitcoin is going to go much lower when there is a downturn, or even that it will go to 0, are people with confirmation bias: they sold didn't buy in the past of maybe they bought or sold at a loss (out of panick) and now want the price to go to 0 to tell themselves they were right, instead of thinking about how foolish they were for passing up the opportunity to change their lives.
