I guess you missed this part of Charles' quote, and I don't see how requesting freedom is considered spam; since the beginning of the local board thread, there have been one or more posts from 110 users, despite the thread being one of the hidden threads; if you look closely at my active stats, you can see we still have more than 30 active users this year with over 1600+ posts since it was created
Another thread about the Nigerian board, do we really need it? as far as I can see, there are 11-12 active users, I guess not every one of you will open a new thread on a Nigerian local board.
In that way, you are slowly turning into spam, which certainly does not help in achieving the goal.

I am temporarily locking Request for Nigeria local board in order to first seek for our local thread to be pinned

If we discuss the real need for your board, to be honest, I don't see the excessive need for that. User @igehhh regularly posts activity statistics on your local topic and for example, in the last week, you wrote a total of 36 posts.
it cannot be called very active, it’s just a little more than a weekly requirement for a signature campaign of one user.

Do you realize how awkward it is to have a good discussion on a single thread? With so many interesting topics popping up on a daily basis? If you look closely at the thread, you'll notice contributions from non-Nigerians, as well as merits patrol from non-Nigerians; a thread with 80 pages cannot be considered inactive; the request is for the thread to be pinned for more visibility, while theymos and Cyrus continue to discuss how many child boards they'll give to the Nigerian local board. Only when theymos and Cyrus have given their verdicts will the request threads come to an end.

There are several inactive pinned local boards so what's wrong with having the most active board on other languages pinned?
