You are right. They think that the name ETH on the coin will guarantee to make a profit in the future but it is not. Hopefully, they do not invest big money into that project and research for the other coins. That coin can increase the price if the pump is coming but after that, the coin price will be back to the lower price without knowing if that coin can do it again in the future.
