Fun fact: As of August, the Russian board had distributed a total of 2850 merits, which is 741 more than the meta (2109), they are already at 1627 in September with 7 days to go I'm betting they have more merit sources than any other board, or the board is full of high-quality posters and generous givers. 
Боже мой! Maybe it's time for me to start learning Russian?
The language is similar to my native Croatian, and I already learned the Cyrillic alphabet as a kid.
