So here we go. The ball has started rolling. The tipping feature is now available on Twitter. For now, it could only be accessed by some iOS users. Android will follow in the coming weeks.

The feature is presumed to be compatible with Strike, Cash App, Muun, and other third-party Bitcoin payment solutions. Of course, Square's upcoming hardware wallet will also be supported by this feature.^[1]

With this new service offered, Twitter has somehow become a hybrid platform, serving both as a social networking site and as a remittance app. One could now freely and instantly send money to anybody on Twitter all over the world.
