if i come to remember it correct Romania is the
3rd country (That become viral) in which uses a Lottery to attract more people to get vaccinated .
Romania is not a Third world country, They are located on Europe and they have a good GDP compared to the real 3rd world country outside EU. They are just poor and weak compared to other country inside EU but they are still rich compared outside EU. This kind of lottery system just to get people vaccinated is proof that they have enough money for there citizen safety, Here in our country which is the real third world country, We have limited supply of vaccine and vaccination has a priority list before normal can get it especially on poor municipality.
as far as i understand ? He means third country in because there are 2 other countries that do this lottery to lure people to take the vaccine and not because they are a third world country .
I think that actually it's not the lottery that may "inspire" more people get the vaccine in Romania.
One additional "detail" is that those getting the vaccine in these last months of 2021 will also receive 100 RON (~20 EUR) tickets they can use in supermarkets (in theory, for food).
The hugely rising numbers of infected people filling all the news also did their part.
The number of newly vaccinated is rising from lows under 5000/day in August to 15-20000 (and rising) lately.
How good to offer this , in some countries specially in Asian countries in which giving groceries but this gives them tickets to choose what they want to buy in groceries .
