This is great, there are some countries that banned gambling and this is simply the wrong way to go about this, creating campaigns to make people aware of the dangers of gambling addiction and how to prevent it and identify it is the way to go, after all it would be wrong to prohibit alcohol beverages to the majority of the population just because a few people get addicted to it and the same kind of thinking applies here, gambling is a really entertaining activity and it would be wrong to ban it just because a few people get addicted to it.
It's true that banning gambling is not an effective way, because after all people will still look for ways to be able to gamble even though
the government has banned it. A much more effective way is to provide education through campaigns by providing information about gambling
addiction which can have bad consequences. Then the campaign how to overcome and identify gambling addiction, it is much more effective
to prevent gambling addiction, not by banning it. I come from a country that prohibits gambling activities, but me and my friends can still
play gambling, so it's really not a good way to ban gambling activities to prevent gambling addiction.
