You can not die.
Simular to a computer turning it of all work stored in ram, gone.
If someone start it again it will get going, rom will guide it along ist's path
The soul is mere occupying the body, flesh bones at this particular point in time, it does not die.
Selling the soul inhibits the reincarnation, rebirth, there is nothing worse as a soul without a body.

The soul may not die and move to some place which we do not know. But the our body does die after our death.
You can think of it as like soul getting seperated from the body and when this happen the body is dead useless.
The concept of death is very complicated and no one will ever know the exact process.
