If we were a larger company, we could absorb the loss. As you’ve probably heard already, Epic Games was fine with losing $26m a month after their extremely popular multiplayer game, Fortnite, was removed from the App Store. Epic Games battled Apple to repeal their decision, resulting in hefty PR and legal costs. Being a small software company, we unfortunately can’t afford to fight with the Goliath.
Apple does a ton of things to it's iOS ecosystem to limit third parties trying to complete with its builtin features. That's why they got mega-lawsuits from the likes of Spotify recently.
I wouldn't be surprised if this will eventually be the cause of its downfall i.e. the same way Blackberries faded to iPhones, so those eventually fade away to a new competitor [that isn't simply another Android copycat phone].
