It also can't be trolling, because that would be against the no trolling rules that the administration has been tasked with enforcing and therefore would also not allowed here.
So in short, your guess is as good as mine. I can't think of any legitimate reason for a merit cycling club to exist, so the mystery of why it exists and what it set out to accomplish remains without so much as a possible explanation. It does give people a talking point, which means more posts like this one, more forum views, and more campaign money flowing to those of us spouting nonsense for bits. So I guess that makes it a good thing.
