That would definitely make some noise if that name also have a website that has been around for many years registered to it, yeah?

But when a website gets old and nobody on the team is tech-savvy enough to keep it updated and secure, it loses traffic.
So why not just rob a exchange, take the coins and rebrand old weak coins with the money and then use all the credibility you earned over the year to make everyone around you believe your version of the story about the accusations you have against you.. because if they do, you have free marketing to all of your projects until the day the exchange dies... because of what you did.
