You can't do whatever you want with merits except selling them. Wouldn't it be dumb of you to cycle merits along the forum, while the administrator has chosen you as a merit source? Unless you don't care about your reputation or the forum at all, there's no reason to abuse your merit source position this way.
OK then, on a serious note. People are obviously looking at the word "cycling" next to the word "merit" and drawing the conclusion that merit is being sent back and forth between the oversexed members of Foxpup's clubhouse. That isn't the case, and I'd encourage anyone to take a look at who I've sent merits to (I don't know about other Foxxxxy cyclers' merit habits off the top of my head). You'll see that there's nothing of the sort going on. In fact, since I have avatars ignored I don't even know for sure who my fellow Cycling Club members are (though I know who a couple of them are).
Further evidence: Foxpup used to send me a ton of merits, but that stopped abruptly once I joined the team. That's a Fox with integrity right there.
