I think Newcastle can still sign a coach and some players in the upcoming transfer market but yes, targeting to finish the season in the top 5-10 is not that easy. Newcastle just need to stay out of the relegation zone and with new ownership at the moment then I think it will be easy at least Newcastle can stay in the EPL basically that's enough. It still takes time for Newcastle to succeed, even though they are now the richest team, but there are rules that are applied regarding financial fair play, which of course, quick changes cannot be made haphazardly.
Totally agree on this^^, I actually forgot that Newcastle right now is in relegation zone. No doubt that they would sack Steve Bruce soon as the current things are not where owners want the Newcastle to be in. This season for sure their target should be stay out of relegation zone. I think they are gonna sign some good staff and decent players to get the job done for Newcastle this season. I think major changes would go down from next season for Magpies.
If their present coach is sacked and a new coach is brought,I still think that new coach will not do well because the team needs a rebuilding process,where they will sell out some players and bring in some quality players who will contribute positively to the team.
I believe they won't see good players who will be ready to miss out on champions league football,for a team that have not dreamed of it.They will see good players next season.
Newcastle is now a rich club. They have a lot of money. But don't think they will win the title next season. This is not possible. They need to build their team well. Newcastle is now such a quality team, no good and star player would want to come to their team. So first Newcastle has to take on the team of mid-range players. The team needs to be stabilized. Must be in the top 10 of the points table this season. Then next season maybe they will be able to take in experienced players. Gradually they will become stronger.
