One thing I never bet on is fastest lap, because it's rarely given to the drive who is actually the fastest. Often anyone who's in the top 10 and has a 20 second gap to the next driver will gamble with a late stop, and use the combination of fresh tyres and an empty fuel tank to go for the extra point. I suppose it does add a bit to the race, but they should really rename it, as 'fastest lap' suggests fastest driver, which is often not the case at all... because the fastest driver is at the front, not willing to gamble throwing 25 points away on a dodgy pit stop even if they have a decent gap to 2nd place.
