Have you tried contacting them (those two users) via PMs so they can review and edit their comments based on the evidence you presented? If they are blocking PMs from newbies, try mentioning their names here.
I understand your frustration! Even a small comment can easily destroy a service's reputation, especially if it is one of the first comments on the first page. It can mislead visitors who, usually, do not read the entire thread.
