Dear all members of Bitcoin community, this post is of special interest.

I have come across the realization that we need a system that scrutinizes , validates and credit-discredit mainstream media platforms, articles and journalists.
In an ever increasing information era, these platforms along with social media are monopolizing the news information channels. This leads sadly to mass manipulation, propaganda and censorship.

We are shockingly falling to a rabbit hole we will not be able to scape from, If we don't hold accountable politicians and media (same thing).

The way I look at it:

Synapse News (or whatever other name we all come up with, I just made it up) aims to bring together a platform which users will be able to rate veracity of the content of the news articles from any media (NYT, Le monde, Der Spiegel, Washington post…etc)
as well as add value by suggesting “rebuttal news”, comments… among other features. The aim is to
consolidate all news and articles coming out everyday in a one single platform that puts under
scrutiny the veracity of each article as well as newspapers and journalists. A common point of truth
created by the people-community itself where most rated articles will be seen as most trusted, and least rated
ones as fake or low value content. Censorship risk will be avoided as content creation will be
decentralized and fully governed by the community.

Think that people would only use this consolidated news metaverse as they would be able to filter out low rated articles with lets say high rebuttal rate. So that would mean...that article is shitty, Its not worthwhile reading.

I have no clue how this would need to be kicked off or anything, but a platform like this can only be constructed same way Bitcoin did. Full anonymous without central parties inference.
Bitcoin brings financial freedom. But world is ruled by money and information. as the famous quote says "If you control information, you control people".
We are missing a piece of the puzzle to unlock full freedom, and I believe this is a step towards knowledge.

Any thoughts? am I too idealist?
