I ask myself the same question. XYM has risen from the low of $0.11 at the end of September, even by almost 300% within three weeks, while XEM has risen only minimally.
I couldn't find any real news, except that there was a new wallet version which only contained a few bug fixes. Perhaps a whales have bought, at the low price.
