Yeah, now what's been happening in the football world I wouldn't be surprised if Sherrif beats real Madrid and inter Milan. But it would be an upset for sure. But I would hope that real Madrid and inter Milan will win. Because I have always been a fan of those teams' playstyle. Sherrif will have an advantage in the home ground for sure though but I doubt that's gonna be enough for them to win. After all, it comes down to who can score goals and who can defend goals.
After Inter's confident victory in the Champions League match, I still think that Sheriff was very lucky. They defended well and found opportunities to score goals in counterattacks, but even in these masts, the advantage of their opponents was significant. I don't know, let's see how the Sheriff will play the remaining matches, but at the moment the situation is such that they still manage to keeping the first place in their group.
I personally don't believe Sheriff Tiraspol will get points in the remaining matches, and maybe the only chance for Sheriff Tiraspol to get points later is against Shakhtar Donetsk, whether it's for 1 point or 3 points. But Shakhtar Donetsk itself is not a new team in UCL so I still believe Shakhtar Donetsk will be able to provide a strong resistance in the second match later against Sheriff Tiraspol. Therefore, maybe Sheriff Tiraspol will be able to lock in the 3rd position because I believe, Madrid and Inter will still fill the 1st and 2nd positions as expected.
The great advantage Sheriff has is that both games against Inter and Real Madrid are now going to be played on their home stadium and this is huge, in fact the most important of the games is the one they will play against Inter, if they can win or at least tie the game they will have great chances of making it to the next round because the last of their games on the group stage will be be against Shakhtar while Inter and real Madrid face each other, meaning Inter and Real Madrid will play to their best of their abilities to win while Shakhtar will most likely be eliminated and will have not much motivation to play that game.
