If the internet will be down in the future, the crypto industry will undoubtedly stop as well. Any transaction and the mere existence of cryptocurrencies heavily depend on the internet. So if in the future the internet will be down, I do not think that crypto industry will still thrive. Yet, I doubt that internet won’t be part of the future being that "it is the future", especially in the following modern generations.
