I personally remember Koeman as a player and back then I really loved watching him.
His goal in the final against Sampdoria in 1992 brought first European champions title for Barcelona.
Unfortunately, as a coach he is very stubborn and irritating and has very poor communication with the players.
Didn't he insist that Suarez had to leave Barcelona and that he don't need such a player, and forced Suarez to leave Barcelona for Atletico in tears practically for free?
It was the biggest mistake of his life because Suarez was a key player for Atetico in their quest for the Spanish title.
I think he should have been fired in Barcelona even then.
I didn't see how the player Koeman was but I for sure can say that as a coach he is very bad in my eyes. First of all, he sent Suarez off by saying that he's not capable to be in his team. The irony is that they lost against Atletico with Suarez's goal. The worst part is that he is very arrogant. You cannot be this much arrogant while managing a team like Barcelona.
