Barcelona has huge problems due to large financial debts, poor organization of the club, disturbed relations between players and management, incompetent management etc.
Messi's departure was logical and expected due to all these problems.
Barcelona needs a good striker? Maybe Suarez?  Grin Grin
In fact, Barcelona now urgently needs a lot of money to save itself from financial ruin and going into football mediocrity.
They can forget about some great football successes and trophies in the next few years.
It's obvious that Barcelona is not the favorite in the Champions League this year and they are still not sure that they will pass the group stage of this competition.

^ Barcelona is facing some real problems right now because they are in a really bad cycle. If they sell some players in the upcoming transfer window, they might not be able to stay in the top 4, so they won't be able to play champions league, so they will get less money. They can't buy anyone too. They can't even sack their manager because if they sack him, as per rules they have to pay the whole contract length. They can't afford that right now. So I think they just need to survive for 2-3 seasons then get some financial stability. Then Maybe they can buy some players.

These are going to be very important weeks for Barcelona and especially for Koeman. I don't really like him as a manager and I think if he loses the Clasico now and then maybe has another fail in the next game in the Champions League, there are even tougher times ahead than is already the case. How would the club stick to Koeman without their fans freaking out? That's impossible.

I personally remember Koeman as a player and back then I really loved watching him.
His goal in the final against Sampdoria in 1992 brought first European champions title for Barcelona.
Unfortunately, as a coach he is very stubborn and irritating and has very poor communication with the players.
Didn't he insist that Suarez had to leave Barcelona and that he don't need such a player, and forced Suarez to leave Barcelona for Atletico in tears practically for free?
It was the biggest mistake of his life because Suarez was a key player for Atetico in their quest for the Spanish title.
I think he should have been fired in Barcelona even then.

Very well said and keep in mind, Suarez was more than just a key player for the team, he was also an absolute key player for Messi! I am not referring to their friendship (which might also play a role, I don't know), but their harmony to play with each other on the pitch, to wish the teammate success, leave a penalty for the other guy, no how your teammate moves, and in the end, both are the ultimate strikers that can score from everywhere. Suarez, just think about the number of free kicks he won in favor of Barcelona close to the box. The two guys, there were so many synergies, Suarez should have stayed in Barcelona.
