Personally, I don’t think Barcelona have time to wait a few years.
Changes in football happen very quickly and if you can’t keep up with those changes, then you fall away as a relevant factor.
Top players want to play in clubs that guarantee them trophies and victories, and they can also pay well.
Personally, if I were a top player and I got an offer from Barcelona, a club that can no longer guarantee trophies and money, and Newcastle that will soon be able to guarantee both trophies and money, I know which club I would choose.
It has already happened in football that some clubs that used to be greats and European champions, such as HSV or Nottingham Forest, later fail and become irrelevant.
Barcelona don't have much time to fix their catastrophic financial situation and avoid such a scenario.
But, if you were to be a footballer that wants trophies and not money per say. And you are given an offer of Barcelona and Newcastle, will you choose Newcastle over Barcelona?
No matter the present financial conditions of Barcelona, they can never be compared to Newcastle, and Newcastle cannot be better than Barcelona even in 10yrs time.
If Koeman can be coordinated and be realistic, he still have many good players in his team.
He should just focus on League or Champions league and get one. He can do it with nice strategies and by resting players against the title of his choice.

Agreed, Barcelona is a brand itself. If I am offered a contract from both Barca and Newcastle, I'd definitely choose Barca if I'm in the early stages of my career. Because I'll get the environment for my development and recognition as well. But If I'm offered a contract from Newcastle in the ending part of my career, I'd definitely take that. Yes, Barcelona is struggling with almost everything at the moment, but within a season or two, they will recover from this.
