And regarding the general approach so far, I thought it would be cool to see BitcoinTalk oriented video content close in quality to some of the big boys and girls out there.
Out of curiosity, could you tells us how many people are involved so far in the project? I suppose you have the final word but how is the setup being made? 1 presenter + 2 cameraman + 1 video editor and yourself as a final approval? I'm just trying to wrap around my head at the work that has been done so far ... Would really love to know how many hours were put into the project already (ever since the idea conception up until the first teaser for example).
As Quickseller hinted a few days ago, been trying to acquire various collectibles to display, shout out and hopefully in the future giving the Collectibles section the attention it deserves!
That's actually a great idea! I apologize if it was something hinted in this (long) thread, but it totally seems like a match for the Youtube channel and a win for our community - we get to show the amazing and talented artists / collectors that we have while, at the same time, promote the channel by showing unique items that can only be found in here... Whoever gave this idea is a genius! Out in the imaginary fields I'm already seeing some sort of major giveaway for our 100th video, something like a minted coin where a user, in order to have an opportunity to win it, would have to donate (in crypto of course) to a Humans Right institution / hospital / facility in need. Each donation would get him a ticket and so on! (I guess I'm speaking out of my mind atm, but whoever says a coin can also say something more tied to the forum ...)

BTW, added a short poll on when the videos should be released
While I love the idea of people taking part in the channel direction and voting in which day the videos should release, I think that if we really want to hit that sweet spot of maximizing the amount of reach that we can have, we have to also take in consideration other factors in order to choose the best day and period of time to upload the channel videos. The "sweet" time to upload takes in account a multitude of factors:

  • Our users demographics - If we have a younger audience it's more likely for them to be more active during the day since they have more free time than say adults which have a better probability to see our videos at the end of the day;
  • The timezone of the biggest audience that we have - If we have a larger audience from, lets say, USA, we can't "launch" videos that match late night hours (I guess from 00:00 to 06:00 AM). We have to tailor made our uploads to match more active hours (I guess lunch time - people are often at their phones but may lack the time to see the videos - or even evening time);
  • The length of the video - I guess that shorter videos have a higher chance to be seen on even "busy hours" or "work hours" due to the fact that they are small. We could use this for our advantage as well.

These were just some factors that came to my mind (and some could be even wrong). I think that since we are starting out we can fine tune our launch window mostly because we are starting new, but as we progress and develop we should keep a close eye on the Youtube channel analytics because we'll eventually start gathering followers whose activity may be incompatible with the one that we will be running at the time. Again, don't take me wrong, I love the idea to being able to choose / vote on the launch day of our videos, I just think it shouldn't be something set in stone after some time.

Keep up the good work Cyrus + whoever is also helping you!  Wink
