Today Liverpool will play in the EFL Cup against Preston and it looks like in a tournament like this Liverpool will only play second tier players, it makes me wonder if Liverpool will still win big and easy in this match. Looking at the other teams, they have a balanced opponent which of course they will be more serious to win the game and maybe only a little rotation, it looks like it will be very different from the rotation done at Liverpool.
There are lot of players in Liverpool who can be played apart from the first team as we see in PL. There is Minamino, Origi and in defence they can play Tsimikas and so. In EFL Cup focus of the manager is to usually play the players who doesn't gets much chances and these kind of matches also works out as an opportunity to maybe catch some eye of the manager.
I think Klopp might put 1-2 senior level players just in case to put a check and lead the team.
