Today Liverpool will play in the EFL Cup against Preston and it looks like in a tournament like this Liverpool will only play second tier players, it makes me wonder if Liverpool will still win big and easy in this match. Looking at the other teams, they have a balanced opponent which of course they will be more serious to win the game and maybe only a little rotation, it looks like it will be very different from the rotation done at Liverpool.
The second layer will definitely be dropped in this EFL cup match of course Liverpool will try to win big but I'm not sure if the second layer can win like that but I think the match will be in Liverpool's control.
The EFL Cup is not a big cup I'm not sure the main players will play everything I know other top teams are also the same there is always a role in the second layer to compete.
